After a Migraine

I’ve never suffered from chronic migraines. I had two prior to October 15th. The headache pain itself lasted 4 days. On day 5, I had numbness on the top of my head. That lasted 3-4 days. After the numbness subsided, I have a feeling of pressure/tightness across my forehead, across my nose and cheeks, and behind my ears. This is where the headache throbbed. Anyone else experience this? How long does it last?

  1. Hi ,
Thank you for reaching out and sharing your input with us. Numbness and tingling can occur with a migraine attack. If these are new and/or different symptoms (which are challenging) it's always a good idea to let the doctor know so he/she can make sure everything checks out OK.

There are four phases of a migraine attack; prodrome, aura, headache and postdrome. The thing is not everyone will experience each phase with every attack. And each phase comes with a myriad of symptoms - another frustrating thing about living with migraine disease. We have information on this I'd like to share with you here; https://migraine.com/migraine-basics/migraine-phases.

How are you doing today? Looking forward to your update,
