Anti CGRPS- how to administer?
Hi all, I started emgality about 3 wks ago (no change yet) , but not sure about when to take the next dose. The instructions say 1 month later, but does this mean 28, 30, 31 days? And does it even matter?! If anyone has any advice I’d appreciate it, thanks x
Thank you for reaching out and joining the conversation. According to the manufacturer site, it says "Continue to take Emgality monthly from the date of your last dose." I'll preface this with please speak with your doctor for complete information as I'm not a medical provider. However, I believe if you took it on 2/28, your next dose would be on 3/28 and so on. - This is a question best asked of your doctor as some may have differing opinions on this. I know some doctors who say it should be the same day each month, but others who say every 28 days. Again- since there is some variation between sources, it's best to check in with your doctor (also important as you'll want to take it in alignment with how they prescribed it due to refills- if your doctor put it in to be refilled every 30 days, you'll want and have to stay with that timeline).
