Has anyone tried Celebrex for daily migraines / headaches? What was the result? I've tried so many drugs but end up failing the trials due to intolerance with side effects. Thanks much. -Craig

  1. Hi CraigF,

    Thank you for reaching out and being part of our discussion form. Let's see what information I can give you that may help.

    I number of years ago I did try Celebrex for migraine prevention, but am pretty sure it wasn't the medication for me. Not due to side effects, but being ineffective. I'm not sure if you know this or not, but it can take up to 90 days before we see an improvement in our migraine attack frequency and severity as our body adjusts to the new medication. Also during this time potential side effects may lessen. I'm not sure doctors spend enough time with us on this topic.

    Try not to lose hope - there are over 100 medications that can be used to treat migraine and if you add up all the combinations that number goes up dramatically. When you get a moment take a look at this article about migraine prevention;

    I hope this helps,
