Feverfew and triptans?

Hi, I want to come off amitriptyline because they were making me like a zombie (I'm down to 10mg from 30, so far so good) I also have zolmitriptan for when they do happen, which I have been taking if necessary alongside the amitriptyline as prescribed. My question is, can I safely take a regular dose of Feverfew AND safely take my 2.5mg of zolmitriptan? I can find absolutely nothing online about this, does anyone have any advice?

  1. Hi triptanzan,

Great question! The thing is that's a question for your doctor and/or pharmacist. They know what other medications/supplements you take, and therefore can make the correct suggestions.

Good luck and keep us posted!

You are not alone in trying to find answers about taking Feverfew therapy in addition to other medications. It is always a good idea to reach out to talk to your doctor before starting a new supplement in addition to your normal medication.
