I am a first time sufferer and currently I just feel so lifeless...
My migraine occurred very suddenly, 10 minutes before o left for work. I've never had a migraine before so I brushed it off as a headache. Two days later it was still here and I couldn't deal with it so I had the next two days off work. I went to the doctor and he prescribed Panadol and bed rest. Two days later it was still there and I went back to the doctor. He prescribed Panadol forte and sunk t so I had the next two days off work. I went to the doctor and he prescribed Panadol and bed rest. Two days later it was still there and I went back to the doctor. He prescribed Panadol forte and some other medication starting with 's' that wasn't effective in helping me.
I went to the emergency doctor a day later with nausea, dehydration from vomiting and severe pain.
I've been back 3 times since as well as having a physio session. Most of my time has been spent in bed, in the dark.
It's been almost three weeks now and I'm worried that a) it's been too long
and b) the doctors aren't taking it seriously enough.
Currently my symptoms are: numbness in both hands (fingers), swishing noise in my ears, left eye has vision problems (blind/black spot), headache, muscle soreness and low appetite.
My question is, is this story relatively common of a migraine? And, I'm not improving, so what is my next step? My friends want me to go to hospital.
