My daughter is 20. She has had hereditary cluster migraines since she was 15. We have done all the test and tried various medications to no avail. The only thing she has found to work is CBD or THC with CBD working the best. However she hates having to use either one and so do I. I have spoken with Dr and Dr and none will help her. they give her a migraine med and it never works. I need a solution. The other women in my family that have this all use CBD or THC.

Has your daughter or you kept a migraine diary? Migraine attacks don’t seem to be eliminated by anything, only controlled. But if you do identify what food or other sensitivities bring on an attack and these these can be eliminated, that in itself is a bonus.
You may want to talk to your doctor about the side effects you don’t like. There may be other medication that can help that won’t have the side effects. That and keeping a diary is a great thing. You, as a caregiver may also want to check out the Caregivers section on the site, that is if you havent’ already done so.
I’ve had Migraines since I was about 7. Now I’m 47. All I can say is that by identifying the major triggers I have I can either eliminate them or at least know what is going on if a migraine comes on. That and medication from my Neurologist really helps, Have you seen a specialist? If not, a referral to one is another great idea.
Warm Regards

Hi momof3hearts,
I'm so sorry to hear about your daughter. Getting an accurate diagnosis is vital. This allows us to get the proper treatment and learn all we can about our particular headache disorder. There is no official diagnosis of cluster migraine, it's cluster headaches. And pain from cluster headaches is some of the worst imaginable. This link has good information on these type of attacks; https://migraine.com/living-migraine/is-it-cluster-headache-or-something-else/. This link has more information on cluster headache; https://migraine.com/?s=cluster+headache&submit=Go.
If your daughter is not seeing a true migraine/headache expert, I would encourage her to seek out one,, especially if she has cluster headache. These expert doctors are board certified in headache medicine, which is different than being certified in neurology. When you get a moment, take a look at these articles on how these doctors are different and how to find one; http://migraine.com/blog/how-are-migraine-specialists-different/ and https://migraine.com/blog/really-find-headache-specialist/.
I hope this helps!

Hi momof3hearts,
I suffered from migraines for a long time. When I met Dr. Arroyo, I was having an average of 10 episodes per month, I was miserable... Just two weeks into the program, the migraines started to be shorter in duration to the point where they simply disappeared, amazing! Even my sleep improved so much. I truly believe that Dr. Arroyo has developed the definite solution to reverse migraines for good, without drugs or surgery. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CSSLSn1RwwI
