Migraine limb pain syndrome?

Hi, just wondering if anyone has experience with something called migraine limb pain syndrome??

It is being explored as a possible diagnosis for my child who has been suffering from terrible pain in his feet and legs for almost a year, and recently migraine with aura.

Many thanks.

  1. Hi
    Thank you for reaching out with your question. I've not heard of migraine limb pain syndrome, thank you for sharing that study with us. I was a very interesting read.
    Here is another small study I found and discusses treatment I hope you find interesting; https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5056596/

    Has he found anything that provides relief? It's awful to see our children in pain, no matter what age. This sounds like more complicated migraine and may be best treated by an expert doctor who treats migraine and headache disease rather than a general neurologist. Let me explain - general neurologists may be fine doctors but have a hard time being experts in one area because they treat so many conditions such as stroke, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's and more. Many general neurologists who treat people with migraine and headache disease claim to be experts but that may not be 100% accurate. A true migraine expert is board certified in headache medicine not all neurologists have, and treats migraine and headache all day, every day. Here is more information on why these doctors are beneficial and where to find them;
