Mixed Headaches

Does anyone else get headaches that are a mix of different kinds? And does anyone besides me find that hormone-triggered headaches are particularly likely to be mixed? I find that headaches that happen because of hormones tend to be both tension and migraine. Sometimes, like now, they flip back and forth between the two. It makes it extra hard to treat, especially because hormones make me freezing. Usually ice helps with migraines, but not hormonal ones. But heat will still make a hormonal migraine worse.

  1. I am so sorry about all the pain and symptoms. I know one can have more than one type of headache disorder. I have chronic daily headache and chronic migraines. Here is an article about tension headaches: https://migraine.com/headache-types/tension-headaches. It does state people can have both and stress is a common trigger for tension headaches.
I know it makes it difficult when there is something constantly going on and what works for one, does not for another. I hope that someone who has experience with hormonal ones chime in. (Tonya, team member).
