Odd question

Greetings! Does anyone get serious gut pain "ulcer like" I guess you could say, post-migraine? It's like my migraine subsided (we all know it is lurking, waiting for its moment to rear its ugly head, pun intended)...but it always seems that a day or two after a bad migraine, my stomach is killing me. Along those lines, I have become the most boring eater...really sticking to bland foods. I know I'm in for it if I binge, so it's not that. Ideas? Thanks in advance! -Lisa

  1. hi there again. I hope that you will get someone who has had something similar happen. In the meantime, I wanted to share about abdominal migraines: https://migraine.com/migraine-types/abdominal-migraine. It is so hard trying to figure out the medical mysteries we go through. I know you are tired of the, "it could be this or that," game. Look at the common triggers area. I know you eat bland food a lot. Sometimes our bodies are lacking in different nutrients that can trigger this.
We also have a site dedicated to IBS. Maybe you can check them out and ask your question there: https://irritablebowelsyndrome.net/?_sp=3db59cfc-8752-4367-9d29-70cbb97b7469.1727319191038. Who knows? Getting help from both communities, or one or the other, may prove beneficial.
I do hope that you can get to the bottom of the stomach stuff. Hopefully solving one, will help the other.
Have a wonderful night!!! (Tonya, team member).

    1. It certainly can be frustrating when experience additional aches, pains or ailments beyond migraine. It's like, migraine is already enough, right? I"m so glad that you posted this here because I think it's something that so many of us can relate to. I see that Tonya shared some great resources with you that I hope are helpful. I also wanted to toss out the idea that it could be helpful to reach out to your doctor or your pharmacist to see if any of the medication that you're taking possibly irritates the stomach. If so, it could possibly be a matter of making sure that you're not having medication on an empty stomach. I share this only because it was something that I experienced. Everyone is different and everyone responds differently to medications, but it's might be worth reaching out to see if there's a recommendation that can help! Keep us posted on what you find out, if you feel comfortable doing so.
