Weird symptoms

My migraines have changed symptoms as I have had them since a child. Now at 55, I’ve gone through menopause which helped, and ironically through cancer and my migraines lessened. I experience vertigo almost everytime. It’s awful. I also have the horrible joint pain , which my doctor thinks could be Lupus. I run a fever in 90% of my migraines. So weird. My migraines are Cervicogenic, intractable or that was the diagnosis years ago. I take several migraine meds , and on disability for migraines.

  1. Hi
Thank you for reaching out and sharing your journey with us. So interesting how menopause and cancer have reduce migraine attack frequency. I have heard this before. For some women migraine gets worse, others get better and some don't see any improvement at all.
There are over 200 headache disorders and many of us live with more than one. It's tough enough living with migraine and headache disease, when we add other chronic illness it makes everything more complex. Please know you're not alone - we're here for you!
How are you today? I'm sending you wishes for a low pain day, Nancy Harris Bonk, Patient Leader/Moderator (team member)
