When some people would ask “how’s the head?” It seemed I’d stopped being a person, just pain.

Hi there, . Thanks so much for sharing with the community. I can understand how this might feel like you've been reduced down to a person who only experiences pain. What do you wish people would ask you instead? - Cody (Team Member)

Nice to meet you, mmelle. I am so sorry that migraine and it's pain is taking over your life. I went through the same situation when my migraines shifted from episodic to chronic. Sometimes it is people trying to show they care about your condition but it makes you want to scream. You may need to try having an open conversation with the people in your life, so they know that you do not enjoy them asking about your pain levels immediately. Personally, I would love to learn more about YOU, not just your migraine pain. Feel free to tell me more about yourself in a reply! - Amanda W (team member)

we hear you! It seems there are a lot of people who don't understand the difference between headache and migraine disease, unfortunately. -- Warmly, Christine (Team Member)

That it can't be that bad

the fact that someone else thinks they know your reality is mind boggling. How does any know it's not "that bad" when they aren't living in your body, experiencing your reality. Ugh. I'm sorry that people have said this to you! -- Warmly, Christine (Team Member)
