Migraines get much worse in hotels, why?

Every time I stay at a hotel lately, I wake up with an extremely bad migraine and I'm very nauseous. My headaches have actually been better at home but much worse in hotels. I do not get sick when I travel and stay at someone's home. Does anyone know what might be happening at the hotel?

  1. Hi there!
Thanks so much for your question. As you wait for possible feedback from the community regarding their experiences with hotels, I thought I'd share an article that one of our contributor's shared some time back regarding her experience. While her situation sounds like it may be more extreme that yours (I am speculating), but nonetheless...it may provide you with some thought on what might be triggering these attacks (i.e. lighting, mold, carpeting, cleaning supplies, air room quality, etc.) https://migraine.com/blog/how-to-survive-a-vacation-tip-1-dont-trust-the-website/
