Migraine Surprise

I was shocked to see the newscaster that lost control of her speech on the air recently and I hope she brings more attention to the matter. My migraines start with the loss of vision in one eye, which causes half of whatever I am viewing to disappear. This is followed by the inability to read - or make sense of the words I see. Next is numbness , garbled speech, excruciating headache that makes it impossible for me to function. Nausea follows and I am incapacitated for exactly 24 hours. This happens once every 3 or 4 years.

There was a homeopathic migraine pill that allowed me to function and go to work, but it expired and "my organic market" doesn't carry it any more. I purchased something called migraide last week but I don't know when I will need it. Believe it or not, my symptoms came on at work Thursday and I was taken away in an ambulance because the characteristics look like a stroke. Now by the time I need my pills they will have expired. Instead the hospital gave me morphine and oxycodone. The problem is when I cannot communicate, I can't even say whether I want the meds or not. I am scheduled to get an MRI, but they have never found anything before.

I just wanted to let you all know that there is one more person out there that understands.
