Has anybody over 50 experienced abdominal migraines? If so can you please tell me what the pain is like?

Hello Sandyands.
I joined migraine.com to basically ask this same question.
I am 58 years old and a week ago tomorrow we were at our daughters home when I developed crippling pain just below my navel. It was so severe that I couldn’t stand. I felt that I was going to pass out and had to be transported to the hospital by ambulance. They said I was ashen looking and I was drenched in perspiration. It scared my family and me. Amazingly all test results were normal, after much blood work numerous xrays and ctscan. They gave me so much pain meds fentanyl then dilaudid, that I am still experiencing some rebound.
Since then I have been educating myself on what to do if this occurs again.

Hi, I was diagnosed at about 48 years of age. It was a long time coming. I didn't understand where or why I had such horrific pain in my stomach. The pain was so bad I would faint. My children witnessed some of these fainting spells and were very scared. This disrupted my whole family. I even was misdiagnosed with appendicitis and had an appendectomy. Finally after I moved to Ann Arbor, MI saw a wonderful GI specialist and was diagnosed properly. I haven't had a fainting spell since.
