Hands closing up

At any point during a migraine my hands (just one or both) will close and I'm not able to relax my hand and keep it open without keeping them pressed flat. It can last 10 minutes or up to an hour and it comes and goes throughout the duration of the migraine. The most important aspect of this is there is no numbness or tingling at all. Everything I've tried to find on this always includes those physical sensations. I would really like to know if anyone else experiences the closing of their hands without numbness or tingling?

  1. Hi chloekittenhouse,

Thank you for reaching out to us with your question. I've not heard this before, but that doesn't mean it's not possible. When we have new and/or different symptoms, it's always a good idea to talk to the doctor so he/she can rule out anything more serious.

Please let me know how you are doing,
    Nancy
