Journal Prompt: If your migraine was a vehicle how would you describe it?

Is it old or new? What’s your relationship with that vehicle? Is anyone else riding with you? Is it working right?

  1. A noisy tractor with bad lights

    1. I love the word picture you created here. I am from the US but grew up in a farm town. My dad has had tractors over the years, some of them quite old and rusty over time! I'm sorry that you struggled from such a young age. Glad to hear that you get some relief from the sounds of it. Take care. -Melissa, team member

    2. I once worked in Government Angency. The looks I got when I got a migraines. Words weren't necessary. I took early retirement and returned to my trade, I also went back writing songs and playing 🎸 guitar. As well as other coping methods my migraines have decreased about 70%. Nothing worse than spending half your life in a job that dosnt really respect or try to understand you

  2. It was my first car. A Standard Tan four door Chevy Chevet. All manual features, windows, heat, no air. And the most relevant to this post is the slow breaks. Once it gets moving have to know the roll distance in order to start the press to make sure it stops in time. Just like how my migraine - medicine interactions work.

    1. A very unreliable, painful experience. I never know when it will co-operate with my plans. It causes me so much stress.

      1. , unreliable sounds like the perfect adjective! -- Warmly, Christine (Team Member)

    2. A military tank. Smelly, noisy, and overwhelming!
