Hi, Lawrence! I had been on sumatriptan ever since it came out in the mid-nineties, but had to stop it a couple of years ago because I had a SCAD heart attack (which is associated with migraines) and it was no longer safe to use. Sumatriptan worked well for me, but it made me feel flushed and a little sleepy every time I used it. My neurologist switched me to Nurtec (not covered by insurance) and then Ubrelvy. Ubrelvy didn't give me side effects but it took about 2 hours to work, which was too long. Then she switched me to Reyvow. She told me that the most common side effect was sleepiness, but I don't have any side effects at all. It works quickly, too. It's the best abortive treatment I have ever taken.

Hi. Is Reyvow in the same family as Sumitriptan? That was one of many that I had a terrible reaction to. How do you use it? Daily as a preventative or at onset?
