  1. "This Texas heat is rough this year! I hope everyone is staying cool. "

    1. I am right there with you in Arizona. The heat is quite intense and overwhelming. Staying hydrated, remaining indoors during the hottest part of the day, and being aware of signs and symptoms of heatstroke and heat exhaustion are extremely important elements of remaining in good health while managing migraines. Wishing you cooler days ahead. Rebecca (community moderator)

    2. I feel that. It's SO humid here on Long Island. If my curly hair isn't a sign, then the inevitable migraine will be! I hope you've been hunkering down and hitching a ride on that good good AC! ~ Sawyer (team member)

    3. Here in Louisiana near baton Rouge its been 112 degrees for days with the humidity factored in. Im stuck inside and I hate this hot weather

    4. Ugh! I'm with you! Heat and humidity is a trigger for many. I'm so sorry to hear of the extreme heat in your area (it's only been in the high 90's where I live and that STILL is enough to stop me from going outside). I'm so ready for the Fall! Thinking of you- Holly (migraine.com team).

    5. You're not too far from me. I am on the Texas Coast. Maybe come Halloween it will cool off and we will see our first cool day. Too bad we do not get an actual Fall! - Amanda W (team member)

    6. Thank you for thinking about me. I wish we had a true fall but we really do not. This leaves me waiting on Winter to show up. I actually never complain about the cold because I know how bad our Summers will be. Honestly, I probably complain plenty during the Summer because of the heat and my head. - Amanda W (Team member)

  2. "Today is my birthday!"

  3. "My insomnia strikes again... I had very little sleep last night."

    1. So sorry you are dealing with sleepless nights. Hoping this doesn't kick in migraines or make them worse. How are you feeling now mid-morning? Thinking of you as you progress through the day. Rebecca (comm advc)

    2. Thank you for taking the time to comment on my status. It definitely started a migraine. Which I was worried about. I still have pain today. Hoping it will ease up soon. - Amanda W

  4. "Already missing the comfort of the Christmas decorations... Isn't that silly?"

    1. Christmas is a time of year that promotes so much peace and love and kindness that it is truly missed when the tree comes down and ornaments and decorations get stored back in the garage. I truly understand the sadness of placing away the warmth and love it fosters. I try and continue the tradition of peace and love throughout each month of the year. January: Bettering myself, February: Love for my significant other, March: Warmth of seasonal changes, April: Love through my higher power and goodwill, May: Birthday self-love, June: Love of nature, flora and faun, etc. all the way to December. And I have decorations and door ornamentation for each month. Your compassion and true spirit is shining through. This is not silly at all. Warmly ~ Rebecca (comm advc)

    2. Hi
What a lovely idea to have decorations for each month of the year . Sometimes its our surroundings that add to our well being or lack there of. I am missing the christmas decorations too.(mind you not some of the flashing lights πŸ™„).

    3. I do not miss the flashing lights either! But everything else just seems lacking. I may have to try Rebecca's idea out myself. I wonder what kind of door window clings are available, besides the standard holiday ones.
Thank you for taking the time to comment on my status! - Amanda W (team member)

    4. I love your idea of some sort of decorations for each month. Additionally, I like the themes you have in mind. Do you make your own door decor or is it something you have managed to buy somewhere?
Thank you for reading my status and taking the time to share with me. - Amanda W (team member)

    5. - oh yes! The flashing lights have been put away permanently in this household. Thank you for the kind words. I am that person who needs their environment and surroundings peaceful, creating a place of calm. Highly sensitive, I am affected by many things, not always pleasantly, so I do my best to focus on mental and physical health and wellness, which the monthly decorations and "mantra" or themes do. Chronic illness pushes me to my limits, toward focusing on the unfavorable and the troublesome, or am weary and worn down most of the time, therefore this is quite the blessing to have a focus monthly. Wishing the best for you in the New Year. Rebecca
