"I’m responding to the post in masks. They make me hot abd it’s hard to breathe- both can bring on a migraine. I get migraines from tension on my ear (even with glasses so I have to adjust those). I found a couple masks that have little beads on the end so I can adjust the tension, and also have a large breathing space. They help. But sometimes I have to leave an area where I mask is necessary to take it off and breathe because I feel so uncomfortable. Unfortunately I usually get a migraine if I wear a mask for a long time. And the rosacea is horrible. But I know masks are necessary- knowing there is an end in sight with vaccines helps. "
Hi @Jane,
Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. I'm sorry you are having a rough go with the mask - you're not alone!
We're all getting by as best we can!!

"Oops - i clicked Post update too soon. I hope the Ajovy continues to help. I’ve taken other meds that I had to stop for different reasons including that they weren’t effective anymore. I’m trying Botox also but I don’t honestly know how much it has helped. But I do what I can with prevention and treatment. Food is my biggest trigger and it is incredibly frustrating - it rules much of my life. I was listening to a Louise Penny mystery book and she includes a lot of scenes of people eating and I was actually thinking about what I could and couldn’t eat from her descriptions. Actually funny when you think about it 😀. I do worry about a future with migraines - I’m 63 and have had them for 40 years. Perfumes, loud noises, weather, sometimes exercise, and much more bring them on. But we can only do what we can do, and never never ever give up. "
"I started taking Ajovy - 3 injections that last 3 months - it’s not covered by my insurance but Teva (the maker) is covering it with a $20 copay for now. It feels like a miracle but it has helped! My insurance "
