cervical spine injections

I have a lot of neck arthritis and it doesn't play well with migraine. I also have probable cluster headache. The migraine flares up my neck, and my neck pain triggers the migraine. It has been suggested that I consider some treatment for the neck with injections and other wonderfully scary things. Does anyone have experience with these procedures? Did they help or cause things to be worse? I live in Oregon and would also value any recommendations as I am very anxious to try something like that without knowing I am seeing a trusted provider. (I don't know if giving names is allowed on this forum, if not please don't do so). Thanks!

  1. I’m so sorry you are having these problems. I have very similar issues with arthritis in my neck. I have had trigger point injections as well as nerve blocks to try to decrease or alleviate the pain. Yes, it is scary at first, but the relief is divine! I have also had ozone therapy, also in shot form. I highly recommend all of these! The effectiveness can vary, but still worth a shot😜 A neurologist or pain management doctor should be able to give you these shots without much pain involved. I have a gem of a Dr. in Dallas if you don’t mind travelling. Good luck in your journey to less pain. God bless
