Migraine Stigma

Have you ever not been invited to an event because the people organizing "thought you would have a migraine anyway, so we just planned without you"...or because "you had a migraine yesterday, we assumed you would feel bad today". And...you didn't have a migraine the next day, and it would have been nice to be asked out and do something since you felt good for once. Am I expecting too much?

  1. Hey - I think what you're sharing here sounds valid and I can definitely understand how disappointing that would be to just be left out without them even checking in with you. I will say, I've heard others in the community here share how this has come up in their relationships where, because they've had to cancel plans sometimes, people start to just not include them at all... That's not a great feeling, so again, I think what you're sharing here is valid. Especially during those times when you are feeling good, it would be nice to get to hang out. Were you able to chat with them about this? I hope they are receptive to hearing your experience since it sounds like you do want to spend time with them when you're able. - Jake (Team Member)
