Migraine Treatment

Over two weeks ago, I had my first series of botox shots. Nothing was happening; they said give it two weeks. Still, nothing has changed. After having every other medication and nothing helping, the botox was my last resort.

  1. Oh that is such a bummer that you aren't noticing anything changing with the Botox injections, . I can hear how discouraging it might feel because this was potentially the last resort for you. I would be curious to hear the thoughts from your doctor about this, only because we do have some community members here who have ended up finding Botox helpful, albeit later than the first two weeks. One of our members wrote about her experience in this article, https://migraine.com/living-migraine/botox-during-fertility-treatments, and she mentions not noticing a difference until five treatments in. Of course, just because some people have had this result, doesn't necessarily mean it will be the same for you, so definitely talk to your doctor (if you haven't already). I really do hope that either the Botox will give you some relief, or you and your doctor can come up with another treatment plan! Sending you gentle hugs. -- Warmly, Christine (Team Member)
