Monthly Journal Prompt: Describe migraine without using the word pain.

If you had to describe a migraine attack but couldn't use the word pain, how would you describe the pain you feel? What other symptoms do you experience?

  1. Life altering, everyday chores become challenging at times , there inconvenient and it destroys quality of life
I don't think the word in question is a good enough word anyway
The sharp throbbing , flashing , feeling nauseous , having brain fog and being incapable of doing anything other than trying to scrunch your eyes to go to sleep needs a better word in my opinion

    1. Thank you for taking the time to put your experience into such powerful words, . It wasn't until living with migraine did I learn that even just smelling something as simple as scented hand soap could bring my world crashing down with pain and fatigue. - Cody (Team Member)

  2. It's a kidney stone in my head.

    1. It's like my brain is misfiring, and certain things that normally don't matter can cause debilitating issues, like a particular strong scent will cause my vision to go haywire, or a storm system coming through causing vertigo.

      1. My biggest trigger (weather)is beyond my control. I have to take medication and sleep. It causes an unproductive day and I hate it.
