Hi. I'm really glad to hear you were able to take FMLA. Some people feel like they have no choice but to keep pushing through, but that's not true. Many of the people here on the site have taken FMLA.
I haven't been in this situation myself, but the one thing that you may want to keep in mind is that you have to work a certain number of hours per year -- I believe the current number is 1,250 in order to receive FMLA benefits. So if you feel like you might need it again next year, it may benefit you to work at least that amount.
Do you still have time off available from your intermittent leave, or other time off that you haven't used? If so, they are still yours to use. I'm not sure what's possible if you've completely exhausted your time off -- your employer's human resources department will be able to help you with your options.
