Unforgettable

Migraines started in my mid-twenties, over 45 yrs. ago. The pressure and pain have caused nausea, vomiting, visits to emergency etc. All seem to be around weather change that happens about 2 days after the migraine. Prescription meds. not always effective. Lying down is often too painful due to my inability to have any kind of pressure on my head. Migraines have changed and now get significant pressure and pain at the top of the spine at the back of the head and radiates upwards. I am unable to be in a room with other people and need a dark environment. I cannot work, do household chores, do general tasks such as cooking (nausea), I am not hungry, short-tempered etc. It's truly unfair to my husband and family.

  1. My heart goes out to you, ! I can hear how painful and miserable your migraine has been. Not being able to lay down sounds especially tough. You're are not alone in being unable to manage tasks and struggling. I hope you can be gentle with yourself, and I hope that your husband and family are gentle and understanding as well. I thought you might appreciate this article from one of our health leaders about his experience, https://migraine.com/living-migraine/bad-day. Sending you gentle hugs. -- Warmly, Christine (Team Member)
