Living Through a Pandemic

Is anyone else having trouble coping? My migraines have changed and evolved over time. When I tried Ajovy, I started having really weird headaches, like metal coils popping through my head. That finally calmed down. I am not having the knock out migraines. But then, the worldwide coronavirus pandemic entered our lives. And I get these headaches that again feel like metal coils springing through my head.

I have been really clumsy the last few years and since the Virus, it seems I am running into everything. I sprained my ankle going Up the staircase. My leg hurts from ankle to knee and back. I whacked my already bruised leg on the bike pedal. That's the other leg.

Managing quarantine life alone

I live alone. I am retired. I don't have a car. My mother died a year and a half ago. My sisters and I are not getting along. Try and get them to respond to a funny email! "Yes, I locked myself out of the house in a Pandemic. I met four new neighbors and three dogs. Luckily two of the previously mentioned beings had a ladder!!!"

I lucked into a TED talk with comedian James Veitch who is given to practical jokes on his flatmates and anyone else who crosses his path. I emailed that out to family, including extended family, and do you know, no one has responded?!?!? They probably think I have lost my mind. And I have.

This virus has heaped isolation on top of retirement isolation. We made huge repairs in the house. And then more big repairs happened. Oh, and the thermostat died. The house fan still works, but no air conditioning. So... more repairs.

And something that might be helpful. I am going to have the front doorknob replaced with one that does not lock. And then use the deadbolt which requires a key to lock the door. If you shut the door, theoretically you can't lock yourself out without the key. I have been meaning to do this for two years. But, what the heck, I locked myself out in a Pandemic. I really need to find someone to do this.

I called one person, but he just had carpal tunnel surgery in a Pandemic. He's probably not doing too well either. So I thought I would hop on board here, and ask, Is anyone else about to lose it?

Thanks. E.H.

And...... I am absolutely Craving Ice Cream.....

Here's the video of James Veitch comedian on the "duckies" problem he had with a flatmate.

I laughed until my throat hurt! Oddly, his sense of humor feels familiar?

And I've been blogging a lot. I'll stop now. E.H.
