Medicare

Am fighting a losing battle. Botox is allowed and covered if you pay for it upfront. That is a lot of $$. Then any new medication is not being covered so I am using older formulas that I don’t feel work as well. Anyone have any suggestions that may be helpful?

  1. Hey - Thanks for taking the time to post here. Sorry to hear this is feeling like a losing battle. Please know you're not along in the medication/insurance/treatment struggle. It can be rough, no doubt. Of course, I wanted to just check-in to see what your doctor has said about your concerns? Anything helpful from their end? We are not medical professionals here, so I always encourage that route, if you haven't been able to share these concerns with them already. Beyond that, your comment reminded me of this article (though it's a few years back) talking about medicare and treatment options. The article is there with some resources linked throughout, but there are also many comments on the article with others sharing their experiences so I'd encourage you to scan through both to see if anything sticks out to you that is helpful. Here's the link to that one: https://migraine.com/living-migraine/medicare-doctors-prescriptions.
