Migraine lasting over two weeks.

Hello, I have always struggling with migraines but this is my first experience with a “status migrainosus”. I am on day 16 and have found little to no relief from cycle breakers and rescue meds. I received a nerve block 3 days again and am hopeful it’ll set it in the upcoming days or weeks. Has anyone experienced anything similar? What are things that help relieve some of the discomfort and muscle soreness in your neck?

  1. Hi! Sorry you're going through so much discomfort. How are you feeling now? Did the nerve block help? If it hasn't, it might be worth considering going to the emergency room, where you can get an IV cocktail that can help finally break the attack. If possible, you should talk with your migraine doctor before you go, and either have them call the hospital ahead of your arrival or send you a letter to give to the ER doctor with your history and their recommendations. This can help.

It's not going to be as useful as medicine, but here's one of my favorite resources for dealing with neck soreness.
