Weather related migraines

I would like some input on how other with migraines cope with the weather triggers? and barbaric pressures? Any time my weather app on migraine buddy shows pressure level 29 and up most of the time i will get a migraine that day. No matter what I do not to trigger one with foods or try to control any glare. Does any one take extra vitamins or something that could help relieve this? I am 63 an in full menopause and an trying not to take my triptans so much. But lately that has not been easy. So any one else have tricks or advice? Thank you

  1. Weather is such a tricky trigger, ! It's so hard when it's a trigger where you have little control over it. It's not like one can avoid the barometric pressure changes. We do have a lot of community members who have this same issue, so I hope some of them can connect with you. In the meantime, I wanted to share a couple of links with you to other conversations about weather related migraines we have here. Here a member shared about their experience and many people chimed in with their experiences in the comments, https://migraine.com/stories/weather-migraines. And, one of our health leaders wrote about his success treating weather related migraines in this article, https://migraine.com/living-migraine/diamox-for-weather-related-attacks. Finally, in this video one of our health leaders put together her thoughts on preventing weather related migraines, https://migraine.com/living-migraine/unavoidable-weather-trigger. I hope some of this information is helpful! Wishingy ou a gentle day. -- Warmly, Christine (Team Member)
